China Uses Prisoners for Hard Labor/Gold Farming

Quote:

According to a report in UK-based paper The Guardian, China has been using its prison population as slave labor.. in MMORPG's. According to the report, prisoners were put to work breaking rocks and digging trenches in in the coalmines of Northern China. By night prisoners would be forced to play MMORPG's to earn virtual currency, which guards would trade for real-world money.

I knew there were Chinese gold sellers in the world, but I never would have thought some of them were being forced to do it. And if you ask me, it's sick. What's even sicker is a lot of these gold farmers hack other peoples' accounts in order to do it. But the sickest part of all is the punishments these people had to suffer, prisoners or not, if they didn't meet their daily quota with virual money. And the person who was interviewed had to have his name changed so the country wouldn't retaliate. Wow...this is just...there are no words.

What are you saying?

Free food for homeless is bad?

A place to live for homeless is bad?

Free education for ANYONE trying to fulfill the American Dream is bad?|||MV isn't talking about the homeless. He's talking about our jailbirds.|||Quote:

Sorry, as others pointed out I meant prisoners. If my taxes are going to pay for college educations, I'd rather by far it go to the homeless than to prisoners.|||Quote:

I really don't quite understand.

When did this country ever provide free housing/food/education to prisoners, outside of prison?|||Quote:

Well. The answer to that is, outside of prison they aren't prisoners anymore, are they?
