Climategate revisited

[:1]As with every point Jmervyn makes, the Climategate has been finally debunked in full:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WvasALL-hw

I hope this proves that Jmerv is just a parrot constantly repeating fox news talking points, without any intelligence of his own.

And don't tell me this is a personal attack, because this is the truth.|||So, lemme get this straight...

Actually, wot? By watching this video it is hereby proven that Jmervyn is a bird? And since you say it is the truth it is not a personal attack?

Neato. I see that you have thought long and hard on this, and I fully expect this thread to last a long time.|||Quote:

The video is of no consequence. I don't appeal to authority.

The video simply summarizes verdicts on climategate from a number of scientific bodies.

NOW, is your post to be taken that you believe in Climategate?

And I do want to emphasize BELIEVE.

This latest trend (on this forum) of having beliefs and wanting them to be respected is quite obscene.|||If jmervyn is a parrot, than what does that make me (seeing as I ignore all of his threads seeing as they usually turn into flamefests and a good number of people posting in them are highly opinionated. Plus, they are almost always political or religious in nature, the two topics of discussion that I hate the most)?

Can I be a polar bear?|||Quote:

If by your question you mean, do I believe in Global Warming, I cannot answer that. It's like asking me if I believe in evolution; if there is enough data to prove something to my satisfaction, then I might accept it as a fact, not a belief. I do know that for billions of years, the Earth has warmed up and cooled down a myriad of times for various reasons, and that it is possible it might be happening again. Do I believe the source for the present purported warming is natural or human-caused? I just don't have enough data to decide yet.

There's nothing I can say to make this more bearable for you. You will just have to endure somehow.|||Quote:

Your credibility with me just went out of the window.

EDIT: I kind of wish your ideas were based in reality, because I don't particularly care to be confrontational. But they aren't.

You realize that your "point of view" is solely based on the idea that climatologists are lying through their teeth? Name just one precedent where peer-reviewed respected scientists publicly announced some kind of a lie for personal or ideological gain.

There's never been a single case in history.

And you can't just claim "ah, these people are wrong." The consensus on global warming is out in the open.

The only way it's not true is because of a global climate change conspiracy.|||Squawk! Crackers! Crackers!

MV, sorry but I just woke up and my reading comprehension sucks right now but are you saying evolution DOESN'T have enough data to support it? I'm not going to argue about it though, don't want to drag it off topic.|||Just plain stupidity to give death-threats and the like over this.

Side-note: Fricken A, she ate a whole gerbil!

Why is that?
