The Dark Knight Rises

http://www.empireonline.com/news/feed.asp?NID=29317

'The Dark Knight Rises', title of the third installment of what will become Nolan's epic batman trilogy.

Nolan also confirmed that the RIDDLER will NOT be in the third movie; and to the relief of myself, has also convinced Warner Bros to not shoot the movie in 3D, but to keep it in 2D (I am sure there will be imax)!|||Quote:

This is good. There's no need for 3D in it and I'm happy that Nolan agrees.|||Hey, nice to see Batman post here about the new Batman movie.|||It's actually Batkali, half-god, half-bat.|||Ah. As opposed to batman, who is all man, not bat at all except in how he dresses.|||From the article (with gusto!):

The post contains one other potentially juicy, enigmatic Nolan quote: “We’ll use many of the same characters as we have all along, and we’ll be introducing some new ones.”

From here, you can go down two schools of thought – 1) This is a straightforward, non-commital comment. 2) You can subscribe to the oft-chanted mantra that "In comic books, no-one is ever really dead" – and we lost two big characters in The Dark Knight. But then again, of course, that doesn’t – to date – really wash with the realistic leanings of the first two films. What was that about getting ahead of ourselves? Pah! Tish! Etc.!|||The Dark Knight Rises...

... hits the snooze button and goes back to sleep.|||The Dark Knight Rises ... FROM THE DEAD

|||I wonder if they'll bring the Joker back, since we didn't see what happened to him. Obviously they'd have to find a replacement actor, and of course Rachel won't be returning (or will she?! haha), but I'm looking forward to seeing what they're going to do. As for the villain, the Riddler would have been too predictable since they already did the Joker - how about showing us the dark side of the female villains like Catwoman and Poison Ivy? We already know Robin won't be introduced, so that would make it even more interesting - instead of fighting with each other over some hot villainess, it'll just be Batman. Mr. Freeze would be a good one to throw in too. lol But yeah, there are so many choices it's hard telling which villain(s) we'll get to see.|||Maybe it's comic book misogyny, but I can't take female Bat villains [sic] seriously. ("villainesses" is such a clunky way to say it)
