[:1]Looks like something very serious happened over at curse . com
Been out for over 10 hours as far as I know.
If they follow standard procedures they should have had mirror/backup servers of some sort. That is about a 4 second fix. Also they should have any critical hardware in place for a hot swap. Even if it was a major router, install and upload of a config would only take an hour or so.
If it is either of the two above and they are still out their customers really need to look for better hosting.
Speculation anyone? I think they got hacked or the database got corrupted.|||Who?|||Quote:
Who?
The other very large Guild Wars forum that is hosted on the curse network which shall not be named here.
And many many MANY other forums for other games.|||I'm sure it'll be back in full swing before long. But you are allowed to speak of Guru or any other forum here, you know; I'm not sure why you might think otherwise.|||Like four years ago, when I started posting, it was taboo.
I just think of Curse as the wow ui mod, so yeah.|||I think it was a rule on this forum or guru not to mention or link to the other one and it grew from that.|||Quote:

Humm, I seem to remember that many years ago it was strictly forbidden. Ah well, anyway guildwarsguru and all the other guru forums AND lots of other gaming sites PvXWiki (the real one) are all out. Bad planning on Curse . com's part it seems.|||I too remember the no linking other forums rule. Or maybe you all have infected me with a false belief from your social pressure.|||Also, for those wondering, Curse.com are also the ones that host both Terraria and Minecraft websites/forums/wikis.
So yeah...|||Everyone check the LulzSec twitters!
